Description : This patch file is for Quake, replacing
                          the first map of the test wads, and is
                          only for only deathmatch play. It works best
                          with 4 players, but can handle up to 8.

* Play Information *

Episode and Level #     : Level 1
Single Player           : Why?
Cooperative 2-4 Player : No Need, It's just gonna be DeathMatch anyway!
Deathmatch 2-4 Player   : Yes
Difficulty Settings     : Not implemented
New Sounds              : No
New Graphics            : No

* Notes to Players *
This isn't really a new deathmatch level, but just a patch for the first test
map that comes with the game. To play, make a directory in your Quake
directory called maps and put this patch there. To call it up in
quake, simply say "map damage1" instead of "map test(1,2,3)", and your in.
Make sure everyone has a lot of memory available or you will crash in server
mode, like when trying to play map test 2 with the server only having 8 megs
of RAM. (listener servers only! for that problem!)
        Believe you me, as soon as a true map editor hits the network, I
promise you that many old doom ][ great deathmatch wads will painstakingly
be reconstructed to work with the quake test game.
